What are the safety precautions when working with electricity


What precautions should be taken while working on electrical equipment or before working



    Safety precautions:- 

    1. Always be careful while working on electricity do not think of others.  Inadvertently, it can be potent anytime.
    2. Always keep the hot wire in control from the switch itself.
    3. Turn off the blown fuse by switching the mains switch, then insert it.
    4. Earth wire should be good and firm.  Every small and big machine of electricity should make sense.
    5. Inspect the meaning of any portable machine machine before working on it. 
    6. Before working on table fan, press heater etc., it should be checked that there is no electric current in them.  Turning off the switch alone is not enough.
    7. A plug must not be held and pulled to separate the plug from the socket. 
    8. Use Insulated tools to work on the current line. 
    9.  Do not tamper with any live gears etc.
    10. Battery charging room should be clean and well ventilated.  Flame should not be taken in that room. 
    11. While preparing electrolyte, acid should be added drop by drop in water, not vice versa.  It should not be expedited. 
    12 Using tools without a handle is dangerous.  They can hurt your hands 
    Throw mud or sand in case of fire due to electricity.
    13. If there is a fire in the electric wires, do not put water on them.  Sand or mud should be put on the fire by turning off the main switch. 
    14. Do not give any sharp tools to someone else from the sharp end.  May be in the hands of others. 
    15. It is advisable to use every fire extinguisher (C.T.C). 
    16. Keep your essential tools clean and fixed at all times. 
    17. Tools should be applied with grease during the rainy season. 
    18. Do not keep any tools in the open pocket. 
    19. Small tasks should be done on the table. 
    20. If you are not authorized to do electrical work, do not touch it.
    21. Always supply  Before doing 'ON', see if anyone is doing any work on that circuit.
    22. If there is a minor injury while working, treat it at the same time, otherwise it can become more painful later. 
    23. Do not place the tools on the ladder after working as they can fall and cause damage any time. 
     

    Before starting work on the overhead line, take the following precautions:-

    (i) The main switch of the lines should be closed and a board should be inscribed on it.  ' Work is going on .  "
    (ii) The pole must be climbed by a ladder. That ladder must be held by a porter.
    (iii) All the wires on either side of the pole should be chained and shortened by meaning.
    (iv) Safety while working on the pole  Belt must be installed.
    (V) Tools should never be hung on wires.
    (Vi) If the work is slight, wear rubber gloves while mounting the pole without closing the main switch and working with well insulated tools.
